Welcome to the Guyra Shire Council
Guyra Shire is located at the top of the Northern Tablelands in the beautiful New England region, approx half way between Sydney and Brisbane. The Council offers a large range of services to the visitors and residents of the Shire and welcomes all enquiries, suggestions and comments.

NESAC Councils with Federal funding has developed some online services. You can now apply for a Section 603 Rates Certificate, Section 149 (2) and (5) Planning Certificate, Section 64 Weeds Notice and Drainage Diagrams.
Council has also provided a service for commercial businesses who use significant amounts of water, the ability to read their own water meter and have an interim water account produced based on their reading.
All of Councils tenders will be available online, meaning if you are a business that is looking at tendering for Council business you can request to be notified when tenders are called. No more trawling through the newspapers trying to find potential business.
